Whitetail Deer Hunting in Canada
We had a great year whitetail deer hunting in our little part of Northwestern Ontario. Our hunts are done on the northern end of the Rainy River District. We are just north of Fort Frances and Emo, and south of Dryden and Kenora. We offer three kinds of trophy buck hunts. We have our tent camp, which we went 100% at in 2007. We also have a hunt in October at the resort, Camp Narrows Lodge. The last one is our hound hunts. Our part of Canada continues to produce Canadian Trophy Whitetails year after year.
Camper and Tent Camp Hunts
Our tent camp hunts can be done anytime during the hunting season. We hunt an area of Northwest Ontario which has been logged. This is a drive-to location. We have either large army tents or Campers available for the hunters to stay in or you can bring your own. ATV are also needed and used during these hunts. We are located between Fort Frances and Dryden. We hunt swamp edges, logged areas that have grown in, and tree stands on the ridges. It is ruffing it alittle compared to staying at the resort, but there is no travel time. You are hunting, when you leave the tent. These hunts are during pre-rut, and during the main rut itself. The success is awesome. Many large trophy bucks are taken at this time.

Hound Hunting or tree stands on Rainy Lake
Our Deer hunting with hounds or our tree stand hunting is done in October, from the main resort, located on Rainy Lake. This is drive hunting. We run the hounds on the islands of Rainy Lake. We travel by boat to and from the drive sites. Trophy whitetails deer hunting this way is also a very effective way to get a wall hanger. During either of these hunts you can also duck or grouse hunt or fish. We have all the comforts of home at our main camp. The Tree stand hunting here is done off the shoreline. Swampy areas, old cuts near the lake, and old timber ridges are all great spots for tree stands. These deer are rarely hunted near camp, since we are a boat-in resort.

Fishing and other hunting
You can also duck hunt for either puddle or diver ducks in our area. We are located right on the fly way and our area has many large wild rice bays. Local and northern ducks all come through our area of Northwestern Ontario. We are also one of the best lakes in North America for smallmouth bass. Rainy Lake is world famous for it's bass, and the fall is the best time of year. We also have great northern pike, walleye, and crappie fishing at that time of year. With our Canadian Trophy Deer hunts, you can do it all, Fur, Fins and Feathers.
