Camp Narrows Lodge on Rainy Lake is located 25 miles north of the Minnesota, Ontario border. We are located on North west bay, on the North Arm of Rainy Lake, 20 miles west of Red Gut Bay. Fort Frances and International Falls are the closest towns. The resort is a boat-in. The 7 cottages are 2 or 3 bedroom deluxe, modern cabins with all the facilities. Ontario walleye fishing, as well as northern pike, crappie, whitefish and of course Rainy Lake smallmouth bass fishing can all be done minutes from the dock. Our part of Canada, the Rainy River district, has the remoteness of a fly-in, but we are within an hour of the border. If you would like to fish on your own we can mark all the hotspots on our Rainy Lake Navigational maps, otherwise our Rainy Lake guides can take you out for some awesome fishing.

Canada Fishing at its Best
Smallmouth Bass fishing on Rainy Lake is some of the best in North America. Smallies are football sized in our neck of Ontario. Hundreds in the 3 -5 lb range are caught by our guest each year. Some even in the 5 - 7 lb range are also caught. Not to be ignored are the Northern Pike cruising the reefs and weedlines. These guys are fighting machines. Come and do battle with one of these wily warriors. The sense of triumph in landing a monster Northern pike needs to be experienced to be understood. Many fishing fanatics rekindled the fever while landing themselves a trophy Canada pike. Every year many 30 to 45 inchers are caught. The smelts that are found in the lake now are adding shoulders to these fish. Rainy Lake has truly become a trophy lake for all of it's species of fish.
September and October are our crappie months. Late fall jigging in clouds of crappie will ensure a tasty meal. Many slab 2 lb. plus crappie are caught this time of year. The fish congregate in the deep holes right in front of the camp. Early Spring is also a good time for slab Rainy Lake Crappies. We fish in the shallow bays as soon as the ice goes off the lake.
Rainy Lake Smallmouth bass Fishing
For incredible bronze back action try a fall trip. It is one of the best times to fish Rainy Lake. It may be cool but the fishing is hot! As the water cools down the smallmouth move up onto the reefs and stack up one on top of another. The fish all go on the feed. Rainy Lake's north arm is full of smelts. This baitfish puts shoulders on these bass. It is truly hard to say which is better: the size of the fish or the shear numbers caught at this time of year.

You can add any of our hunting packages to our fishing trips. In September a bear hunt or duck hunt can be added to any of our Fall fishing vacations. October you can go after Trophy Ontario Whitetail deer or ducks. Ruffed Grouse can also be hunted with any of our packages. We can outfit you with any kind of fishing or hunting adventure.

To book your fishing adventure a deposit of $200.00 per person is required. Full deposits are required to confirm all bookings. The balance of your vacation cost is due upon arrival. A damage deposit of $75.00 is also required. No refunds are issued after March 1st.
